Michigan City Port Authority
Michigan City Port Authority is home to both the Washington Park and Trail Creek Marinas. For more than 50 years, the Michigan City Port Authority has served the pleasure boating and fishing communities on Lake Michigan. The agency’s goal is to continue to do for the next 50 years and beyond.
The marinas are set against the natural beachscape and wooded, but manicured backdrop that the Lake Michigan coastline is known for. However, that’s not all the area has to offer.
The Michigan City summer season is chock full of events. It includes activities to keep the kids entertained and a nightlife to reward those of a more mature age. From the zoo located in walking distance from the docks to the nearby casino, outlet mall and local spa, there is something here to please everyone.
Michigan City Yacht Club
We welcome you and your family to Michigan City Yacht Club, the club membership of choice on the southern shore of Lake Michigan adjacent to the Indiana Dunes National Park. Our members are sailors, racers, power boaters, cruisers, stewards of the sea and people who enjoy fun on the water, at the dock or in our Club Room. With a clubhouse at the Washington Park Marina our members enjoy on-water activity and camaraderie year-round. We make fun happen. JOIN US.
Michigan City Cruiser Class
The Michigan City Cruiser Class is dedicated to getting sailboats out of their slips and onto Lake Michigan. We are a group of sailors who enjoy casual but competitive racing. We want to attract new sailors to racing, spinnaker boats who have stopped racing because of difficulties in finding crew, and jib and main boats who are interested in friendly Saturday morning races.
